Steelial is seeking an experienced Stainless Process Pipe TIG Welder to support installation projects in food processing and industrial manufacturing facilities across the United States. This role requires extensive travel and a high level of craftsmanship in sanitary stainless process piping systems. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and weld test prior to hire.

This is a field-based position suited for welders who are disciplined, safety-focused, and capable of producing consistent, high-quality sanitary welds in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel process piping systems (schedule 5–40).
  • Execute sanitary tube and pipe welding in compliance with food-grade and hygienic standards.
  • Interpret and work from isometric drawings, P&IDs, and spool sheets.
  • Maintain purge quality and produce x-ray and/or borescope-quality welds as required.
  • Install, fit, and assemble stainless process piping, valves, pumps, and related components.
  • Follow OSHA, client, and plant-specific safety protocols.
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites in food-grade environments.
  • Travel to job sites nationwide for multi-day and multi-week assignments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel process piping.
  • Demonstrated experience in sanitary welding applications.
  • Ability to pass a hands-on weld test (sanitary stainless TIG).
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of purge welding and contamination control.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and active industrial environments.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and weld for extended periods.
