Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Commercial / Industrial HVAC Duct Installers for contract-based projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background installing, modifying, and repairing HVAC ductwork in commercial or industrial environments and can work independently or as part of a crew to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and hang commercial and industrial HVAC duct systems (sheet metal, spiral, rectangular, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and fit ductwork and related materials.
- Seal, insulate, and test duct systems to meet code and project requirements.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding as needed.
- Follow jobsite safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades on-site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a commercial or industrial HVAC duct installer.
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
- Knowledge of SMACNA standards and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Welding or fabrication experience a plus.
- Own basic hand tools.
Compensation & Contract Details:
- Competitive hourly or project-based pay (DOE)
